Red Bull Music Festivalで最後のハードウェアライブも決定。

Marie Davidsonが自身のInstagramとFacebookでクラブミュージックシーンから離れることを発表。9月20日にモントリオールで開催されるRed Bull Music Festivalでのハードウェアライブが最後のパーティーになるとのこと。

I’ve been talking about it for a while and the day has come for me to depart from the club scene to explore new horizons. It’s with a lot of emotions that I present to you my last party playing live hardware club music which will take place in my home town, Montreal. I’m thrilled and honoured to share the stage with inspiring artists that I’ve had the chance to meet, share ideas and convictions through out the last few years. 2014年のデビューアルバム『Perte D’Identité』から大きな注目を浴び、〈Cititrax〉を経て、昨年〈Ninja Tune〉とサイン。10月には新作『Working Class Woman』をリリース。惜しくも今年の初来日はキャンセルになったが、アルバムリリース後にはシングルやEPを立て続けにリリースするなど、昨年から今年にかけてはキャリア史上最も目立った動き多い年になった。

クラブシーンでの最後のライブと発表されているRed Bull Music FestivalではKara-Lis Coverdale、Afrodeutsche、そしてパートナーのPierre Guerineauも共演。

クラブシーンから離れて｜Marie Davidsonが新たなバンドを結成し、デビューアルバムを発表

9月25日リリースクラブミュージックへの幻滅、そしてクラブシーンを離れて新たな地平を探る日が来たという言葉と共に、昨年9月に地元モントリオールで最後のハードウェア・ソロライブを行なったMarie Davidsonが、3人組編成のバンドMarie Davidson & L’Œil Nuとして帰ってきた。よりロックやポップスに焦点を当てたプロジェクトには、夫であり、Marie Davidsonと共にEssaie Pasとしても活動するプロデューサーPierre Guerineau、さらにBataille Solaireとしてもカルト的支持を得るAsaël R. Marie DavidsonがNinja Tuneとサインし、ニューアルバム『Working Class Woman』を発表

10月5日リリース。 Marie DavidsonがUKの名門Ninja Tuneとサイン。4枚目のアルバム『Working Class Woman』を10月5日にリリースすることが決定。パートナーのPierre GuerineauとのユニットEssaie Pasで、DFAからリリースされたアルバム『New Path』やそれに伴うツアー、各フェスへの出演、さらにモントリオール周辺アーティストのコレクティブBunni Groupe（メンバーはMarie Davidson、Madison Dinelle、Bernardino Femminielli、Thea Govorchin、Pierre Guerineau、Jesse Osborne-Lanthier、Asael Robitaille、Giulio Scalisi）の活動もあり、かなり忙しくしていたようだが、その合間を縫って今回のアルバムは制作された。先行でアルバム収録曲から『So Right』がリリース。またJohn Talabotのリミックスも合わせて公開されている。アルバム詳細はこちら。

Marie Davidsonがニューシングル「La Ecstase」をリリース

Silent Servantのリミックス収録。 Ninja TuneからリリースされたMarie Davidsonのニューアルバム『Working Class Woman』から1ヶ月ちょっと、早くもニューシングル「La Ecstase」が昨日リリース。今回はイタリアのプロデューサーLamusa IIとのコラボ曲となっており、さらにリビングレジェンド化しつつあるSilent Servantのリミックスも収録されている。データの購入はこちら。そしてこの2曲が収録された12インチも同時に発表。こちらはアルバムに収録されていた『So Right』とJohn Talabotのリミックスも含む4曲入り。11月30日リリース。 Tracklist: A1. ‘So Right (Extended)’ A2. ‘So Right (John Talabot Pressure Dub Remix)’ B1. ‘La Ecstase’ B2. ‘La Ecstase (Silent Servant Remix)’
